Di Biagio Admires “Balanced” A.S Roma Team

Italian U-21 manager was asked today about Rudi Garcia’s Roma after his side’s 3-0 victory over Roma’s Primavera earlier in the week.

What do you think of Roma this year?
“It’s a very balanced team who knows what they must do. They control the ball in the match and they want to take the initiative. They’re often able to express moments of football at the highest level.”

As for the merits of Garcia?
“I’ve followed him since his days at Lille. He is an excellent technician. He’s a very intelligent man and is proactive. He inherited a team that was great offensively and has made them more balanced.”

In Roma there is still your friend Totti…
“His success is the result of impeccable management of his body, from training to food and by even arriving at 7:30am sometimes. It is due to a very careful control of all the components, Francesco has an impeccable lifestyle.”

Inter is going through a difficult season…
“Yes, there are many components, both in the corporate and in the technical spots. There’s a lot of players that continue to change in hopes of getting results, but it is a policy that does not work, the same thing happened to me when I was playing in Milan. Now with the advent of Thohir and the arrival of Mazzarri, the project seems to have changed and they’re trying to work long distance.”

What kind of match will we see at the Olimpico Saturday?
“A different one from the first match. Unfortunately for Roma, they have several unavailable and Inter will certainly be more careful. Garcia’s team will have to continue to take advantage when they can, especially the set-pieces. I believe that the the match will be decided on the flanks, those who win will have the courage to push further forward.”
