Roma Eager for Renewals of Garcia, Pjanic, and Benatia

Roma’s General Director Mauro Baldissoni has flown to the United States to meet with James Pallotta and the number one priority of talks is to finalize renewals for Rudi Garcia, Miralem Pjanic, and Mehdi Benatia.

Walter Sabatini and Baldissoni have been made aware that PSG is tracking the progress of the Roma manager and they would be interested in bringing him to the French capital, because of this, both directors want to extend Garcia’s contact until June 2017 worth €2m per season.

Baldissoni also hopes to agree with Pallotta on contract extensions for Miralem Pjanic and Mehdi Benatia. Pjanic, whose contract expires in June 2015, has been at the center of interest from around Europe but the Giallorossi are eager to keep hold of the Bosnian by offering him a new contract until June 2019 worth over €3m per season.

Meanwhile Benatia, who has impressed with the Giallorossi this term, will be in line for a major pay increase, since the Moroccan’s contract is worth only €1.25m per season. Baldissoni & Co. are expected to more than double the current pay of the former Udinese man in an attempt to ward off interest from the likes of Manchester United.
