Benitez, Higuain Weigh In on Roma

Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain and Rafael Benitez attended an event hosted by Vodafone and offered his opinion on Roma after Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Genoa at the San Paolo yesterday.

“It is important to score as much as it is to win games,” said the former Real Madrid man. “I’m sorry we lost points against a smaller club, I’d like to be higher up in the rankings, but there is so much left until the end of the season. I can not figure out how we win against big clubs and not against smaller ones, it’s normal to regret the draw from yesterday, we thought we had won the game but incredibly they tied us. It’s important to learn from those mistakes. Now we must improve. Roma? I’m thinking of Swansea first.”

Benitez then echoed the sentiment of his striker, “Roma are a great team, a great club with a great coach and they’re having a spectacular championship. However, they still have to come to the San Paolo, we’ll try to win as many games we can since we play so often. Against great teams, we have always given a good performance, but it is clear that we need to better manage the results when we are in the lead. I’m the first to be sorry for drawing with Genoa, which I said to the team.”
