Ljajic Set for Serbia Recall

A.S Roma winger Adem Ljajic has been recalled by the Serbian national team for the first time in almost two years. Serbia’s interim manager Ljubinko Drulovic, who replaced Sinisa Mihajlovic in November after the former Catania manager took over at Sampdoria, has recalled Ljajic for the first time since May 2012. Ljajic has been absent from the national team due to a violation of the code of ethics set forth by Mihajlovic, who required all players to sing the national anthem before the match. In a match against Spain in 2012, Ljajic refused to sing the national anthem and was ousted from the team by Mihajlovic.

Ljajic will take place in Serbia’s March 5 friendly against Ireland.
