Verona Confirms They Will Buy Iturbe

Verona general director Giovanni Gardini confirmed this morning that the Venetian club will exercise their €15m option-to-buy on former Porto winger Juan Manuel Iturbe, increasing the likelihood that Roma are working behind-the-scenes to bring the player to the capital.

“We haven’t set his price. I can say that we will exercise the purchase option already set with Porto,” said Gardini.

Roma Press has also gained information that Roma may also include the co-ownership of some players, which would help sweeten the deal for the Venetian club. It is rumored Roma will pay between €17m-€19m and also may include 50% of the rights to either Tin Jedvaj or Alessio Romagnoli, who have been previously tracked by Verona.
