Hamsik Confident in Progression Against Roma

Napoli’s captain and attacking midfielder Marek Hamsik conceded today that while it is disappointing that his team lost 3-2 against the Giallorossi, he fully expects the Neapolitans to progress in the Coppa Italia agains the Giallorossi.

“It was a head-on match, with a lot of goals and it’s still completely open. We know that Roma is having an extraordinary season, they proved yesterday that they’re strong. At 2-0 we were able to recover and now we play at the San Paolo in front of our fans. A 2-2 result would have been better, but unfortunately, it went to 3-2 but it is not so bad. Benitez is an offensive coach, we must give balance to the attackers. We want to fight on all fronts: we are third in the league, we’re in the semifinals of the Italian Cup, and we’re in the the Europa League knockout stage. This month is tough, but it will serve the whole squad to have a lot of games.”
