Berisha Admits He Refused Several Italian Clubs

Newly acquired Swedish striker Valmir Berisha admitted today that there were several Italian clubs after his services, but claimed that once Roma entered the fray, he did not want to go anywhere else.

“Playing in Italy has always been my dream since I was a child. I refused several clubs, including Atalanta, Chievo and Juventus. When, however, Roma came in, I thought it was a good opportunity for me. It was great fun getting into town and seeing the Giallorossi fans screaming my name.”
