Candela Anxious for Roma-Napoli Tie

Former Roma wing-back Vicent Candela was asked today about his former club’s semi-final match in the Coppa Italia against Napoli; the Frenchman conceded that Roma’s postponed match against Parma may greatly favor the Giallorossi entering the match.

“The Italian Cup is a great trophy to win. Roma did not play on Sunday and will be physically fresher. Napoli, however, will want to redeem themselves. Wednesday, I guess, we will see a good game where both teams will want to win. It is important to make players feel at ease on the field, so they can give their best. But I believe that in the attack, each player should be free to express themselves better. Garcia is better than Benitez. I’m not talking about what the Spaniard has done in his career, but at this time, the Roma coach is doing very well, especially after the disaster that happened there. Napoli had played fantastic years under Mazzarri where it was really hard to beat Juventus. After years of living in this way, it is difficult to walk a different path.”
