Baldissoni Speaks Before Roma-Livorno

Roma General Manager Mauro Baldissoni spoke today before Roma’s match with Livorno at the Olimpico.

With Juve it is almost a derby…
“I grew up rooting for Roma and the challenge was with Juventus because Lazio were in B. For us it is almost like a derby and we will not give up, it is an honor to measure ourselves with them.”

Team rotation ahead of Tuesday’s match?
“It would be a way to consider unsuitable the ones who go on the field, we are building a team that competes to a great extent in Europe and that’s why you can not have only 11 starters.”

Did you expect that Burdisso would communicate his move away from Roma?
Nicolas did not say he will leave, he said that he’s at the end of a cycle with Roma. He has expressed a desire to play with more continuity and recognizes that it is difficult now because those who stand ahead of him are playing fine.

Looking to resolve for Sanabria diplomatically with Barcelona?
We are going to take the boy, we are working on a platform with him, there is the possibility to use a clause in the contract but Roma prefer to find an agreement with Barcelona for the respect towards the club because the same could happen with us for a youth player.
