Maicon Talks Totti, De Sanctis, and World Cup

Brazilian fullback Maicon spoke today and gave his thoughts on Francesco Totti, Morgan De Sanctis, and the World Cup. The former Inter man is enjoying a Renaissance in giallorosso and has been favored by many to be the first choice right-back for the Brazilians in the World Cup.

“To me age does not matter. Totti has never stopped showing his qualities, so he is an important player.”

There is also De Sanctis…
“He’s a great goalkeeper and a great teammate. For what he’s doing he deserves to go to the World Cup.”

Thoughts on Mario Balotelli?
“A very good player with great qualities. If he puts his head in place he will surely become a great champion.”

A prediction for the World Cup?
“Brazil winning the final should never be excluded, we should always get to the final. Neymar will be the surprise of the competition. I dream of going to the finals, no matter who we face. After you win the World Cup you don’t have to do any more, I would be satisfied with this.”
