Borriello Rejects West Ham, Inter Comes Forward

Out-of-favor Roma striker Marco Borriello continues to attempt to find a solution away from Trigoria. The former Milan striker in recent days rejected the overtures of English club West Ham United and is now focused on the reborn interest of Mazzarri’s Inter.

Initial reports suggest that Borriello, who is currently in the process of switching agents from Tiberio Cavalleri to Beppe Bozzo (Mazzarri’s agent), is in favor of a move to Inter on loan with a purchase option at the end of the spell. A loan move may prove difficult because of Borriello’s high wages — but an agreement may be found if Roma agrees to pay part of the striker’s wages.
