Exclusive Interview with Agent Gianpaolo Pezzuto

Roma Press spoke exclusively with Italian agent Gianpaolo Pezzuto regarding Roma, their season, and the transfer window.

Roma’s first defeat for the season. It could be psychologically harmful?
“I do not think that the first defeat of Rome can be psychologically
negative, in fact no one would have imagined that a team this young could be so revolutionized and find themselves second in the standings.”

The biggest problem for Roma against Juventus?
“Roma was competitive against Juventus, but Juventus improved an already strong group, which we saw last season.”

Garcia was overtaken by Conte in the match?
“This is Garcia’s first experience in Italian football and it is difficult for players as it is also is for coaches, especially those who won championships overseas, to come and coach in Italy.”

“His first season was not centered around immediate success, so Garcia could have all the time necessary to do well with Roma.”

The race for the Scudetto is over?
“The race for the championship is not over yet, though Juventus have a great
advantage on the pursuers. Soon, they will be playing in the Europa League and Italian Cup and then they may drop points, though an advantage of 8 points from second is many.”

Nainggolan arrives to Roma – a worthy reinforcement?
“Naingolann is a great reinforcement in the midfield but Roma, in my opinion, need a striker with experience and a good central defender.”

There are now too many names in the midfield for Garcia?
“Right now, I think they do have too many midfielders, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see the eventual departure of somebody. They can reinvest the money to strengthen the attack.”
