Roma Set to Decide Paredes Loan Destination Soon

Earlier this week, Roma purchased Leandro Paredes from Argentine club Boca Juniors, the deal is for an 18 month with an option to buy for €4.5m in June 2015. Since the player does not possess an EU passport and Roma do not have any available non-EU slots, the player must be loaned to a club until June, when non-EU slots are reset.

Sampdoria has emerged as the likely candidate to take the Argentine on loan, since manager Siniša Mihajlović recently started deploying a 4-2-3-1 formation, he is on the lookout for attacking midfielders. However, a new name has come to the forefront: Chievo Verona. The Venetian club has struggled to produce goals throughout the campaign and many believe the player would fit in well with the Flying Donkeys.

Roma will decide on a club within the week; there is no shortage of interest for Leandro Paredes.
