Burdisso Sale Nears

Centerbacks are the focus of Walter Sabatini’s trip to England. First, negotiations for Heitinga and now, suitors for Nicolas Burdisso. It appears that the out-of-favor Roma centerback is edging closer to a move to London to join West Ham. Terms of a deal are yet to be defined, but both West Ham and the player have agreed to short term deal, which is said to be for either 6 months or 18 months. Burdisso is particularly eager for regular playing time to help increase his chances of making Argentina’s World Cup squad for the summer and thus, is very eager for the move to West Ham to be completed.

Burdisso’s departure would allow Roma to bring John Heitinga to the capital in January instead of June, when the player will be free to join club since he’ll be out of contract with Everton.
