Sabatini Ready For Reinforcements

Today, Walter Sabatini moves fast in an attempt to bring in January reinforcements for the Giallorossi. The Director of Sport does not rest during this Christmas break. First, the former Palermo director is negotiating to bring Everton’s John Heitinga to the club. The move would add much needed depth to Roma’s backline, which is very thin behind Mehdi Benatia and Leandro Castan. Next, Roma’s director will attempt to bring Manchester United’s leftback Alexander Buttner to the capital on loan with a purchase option at the end of the spell. The Dutch leftback’s agent has confirmed negotiations with Roma since the player wishes to take part in the World Cup, which is currently impossible if he remains in England.

Sabatini works quickly because he wants to have the players available to Rudi Garcia as soon as possible and does not want to endure a long negotiation. The talks have started, let’s see if Sabatini can bring more troops to the red and yellow.
