Gervinho Thanks Rudi Garcia

Roma winger and Ivory Coast international Gervinho spoke of his delight about his new club and admitted he has settled well in Italy’s capital.

“Over the summer I received many offers, but when I found out Rudi Garcia was on the bench at Roma I closed all the other doors to come here. I really owe my great form at Roma to him. Our objective is Champions League qualification, but then if we manage to go further then it will be extraordinary. I won’t deny it, I’d love to win the Scudetto.”

“I’ve been most impressed with Francesco Totti, an extraordinary player whose experience has really helped me. I’d love to see him play in one last World Cup before he retires.”

“Playing the derby against Lazio for the first time was very exciting. Experiencing that game, I realized where I truly was. It’s normal that the fans were unsure about me initially because new players have to make themselves known by showing their qualities.”
