Spanish radio station “Cope” is reporting that A.S Roma have clinched the signature of Barcelona’s Toni Sanabria after the Giallorossi have met the €3m buyout clause for the young Paraguayan.

Sanabria, 17, joined Barcelona’s youth set-up in 2009 at the age of 13. In September 2012, Sanabria was called up by manager Tito Vilanova to train with first team. This season, however, Tata Martino promoted Antonio to Barcelona’s “B” team which plays in Spain’s second division.

The Paraguayan was said to be the target of several Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool but it appears that the player will head to the Eternal City.
