Roma Transfer Rumors

PSG midfielder Javier Pastore is being tipped to move to Roma on loan due to his lack of playing time. With the World Cup upcoming, the Argentine has made it no secret that he wants to take part in the summer tournament, which would likely mean he must seek a move elsewhere. PSG President Nasser Al-Khelafi denied that Pastore will be headed to Italy on loan saying, “In Italy, they want Pastore, Lavezzi, Lucas, and Menez but we will not sell anyone in January.”

Roma may be the favorite to win the signature of Pastore because he has very close to ties to A.S Roma Sporting Director Walter Sabatini, who first discovered the young Argentine in 2008 while he was at Huracán.

Roma and Inter are said to be in talks for a swap deal that includes Roma’s wing player Marquinho and Inter’s midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic. Both clubs are looking to cut ties with the respective players and a swap deal would make sense of both ends, as Roma lack midfielder depth and Walter Mazzarri sees Marquinho as an ideal fit on the left wing of his 3-5-2.

Another possible swap scenario includes the names of Roma’s Nicolas Burdisso and Milan’s Antonio Nocerino. Milan are still said to be looking for more depth at center-back even though Adil Rami is set to take the pitch in January, and they see Nicolas Burdisso as a good insurance policy for their back-line. Roma continue to look to find suitable back-ups behind Pjanic, Strootman, and De Rossi — Nocerino may fit the bill.

Roma and Milan were set to meet regarding this deal but it appears that because of Adriano Galliani’s departure that this may be delayed.
