Goal(s):

Possession:
Roma 66%-34% Cagliari

Roma 19(5)-8(2) Cagliari

Fouls:
Roma 9-11 Cagliari

Analysis:

Roma looked to get back to winning ways as they hosted Serie A newcomers Sassuolo at the Olimpico.

Roma began the match creating several opportunities on goal as chances from Gervinho, Miralem Pjanic, Maicon, and Kevin Strootman were not able to find the back of the net.

Cagliari looked ready to punish the Giallorossi as Segundo Ibarbo connected with Marco Sau’s cross but the Colombian was denied by an amazing save from Morgan De Sanctis.

Very little changed in the second half as Roma, again, continued to waste chances and found themselves unable to find a breakthrough goal, giving Roma their third consecutive draw.

Roma now find themselves 1 points behind Juventus for 2nd place in the Serie A table. It is evident Roma have lost their confidence in front of the net. Rudi Garcia must gain control and remain calm as next week’s fixture in Bergamo is no easy test.
