Cassetti: “Roma Will Fight Until The End”

Former A.S Roma right-back Marco Cassetti, currently plying his trade with Watford in England’s second division of football, has been training with the Giallorossi this week and spoke with Roma Channel after one of the sessions.

How are you?
“All right, it’s always a pleasure to return to Trigoria. I take this opportunity to thank the club and the coach Rudi Garcia for allowing me to be able to train here for three days. It’s a pride and a pleasure to come here and meet some old friends. We stopped in Italy, but I asked for a permit for these three days, without having to return to London to train. I took the opportunity to come here to train.”

How are you doing in England?
“The experience is definitely positive, I hope for my team to have a successful year, even though we know it is very hard and that there are competitive teams.”

You are an Italian colony (at Watford)…
“Among technical staff and management, and some players are outperforming the British (laughs).”

How does it feel to come back here?
“It’s always a great feeling to cross that gate. I recall many memories, I hope to come back again some other time.”

You recall the goal in the derby?
“Yes, absolutely. They remind also through social networks, you need to update. I sent a tweet of thanks for all Roma fans who have sent me messages of affection, yet I take this opportunity to thank everyone.”

Have you talked with Balzaretti, who was also a back-line goalscorer in the derby?
“No, we have not talked. I’m very happy for him, he will remember that special day. We have not spoken, but the important thing is that it is served by Roma to bring home the three points.”

A judgment on the present-day Rome?
“There is little to formulate a conclusion, but the facts show that it is working well. Seeing it from the outside, it’s a compact team, it is difficult for the enemy to create problems. If they continue like this, will fight to the end.”
