Outlook:

The perfect streak for A.S Roma was snapped last weekend as the Giallorossi were held to a 1-1 draw in Turin. Roma boss Rudi Garcia is looking for a positive reaction against newly promoted Sassuolo on Sunday at the Olimpico. “Sunday we have a tough game against Sassuolo, we must be focused only on that. I saw a team angry at the end of the game against Torino because there is a great desire to win. The last 20 minutes in Turin I liked, I saw players run and not waste time. This is a good sign for the coach to be part of the team.”

Roma will be able to pick up points from one or both of Napoli and Juve as the two clubs meet this weekend in a 2nd vs. 3rd place clash. Asked if he is worried about the result, Garcia responded, “First we have to win and take three points. After that, then the favorable result is a draw.”

The fixture is also set to feature Roma’s on-loan center-back Luca Antei, who has broked into the Sassuolo XI and was capped by the Azzurrini this week. The Giallorossi product admits that this match will be unlike any other, “For myself, it will not be a match like any other. Upon entering the field, I think I’ll have very strong emotions. They have everything you need to win. Big players in all departments and an extraordinary organization of the game. They have stand-out individuals, but some of them are absent — this could help Sassuolo. Gervinho and Totti will be missing, but they still have men who can make a difference at any moment like Borriello, Lijaic and Florenzi, who is also a great friend of mine.”

Roma and Sassuolo meet on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico at 3:00 CET.
