The Giallorossi travel to Turin on Sunday to take on the squad of Giampiero Ventura. Roma are coming off a 1-0 victory against Chievo while Torino drew 3-3 with Livorno in their mid-week fixture. The match is set to feature Torino forward Alessio Cerci start against his former club, the striker has been in fantastic form all season.

Roma enter the match having won their last two fixtures 1-0. Rudi Garcia knows his team has not been enough over the last month if they want to contend for the Scudetto, “I think that we recover a lot better when we win, the head is important, the group does well: sure that today we will be careful not to have injuries. I am happy to play this game, when we play and win — we’re happy to play every three days, for the players it would be better to rest but we’ll be ready. I hope it will be a great game because Torino score goals and concede many, but in football for viewers and people at the stadium is a team that plays well. It will be hard but nothing changes, we are ambitious and we are confident, we hope that the best team will win tomorrow and that it will be AS Roma.”

Giampero Ventura’s side have seen their campaign come with highs and lows. Il Toro enjoyed successful matches against Sassuolo, Milan, and Inter, yet they struggled against Atalanta and Livorno. The up and down nature of their season has worried Giampiero Ventura and he knows his club will have to be at its best in order to snap the winning streak of the Giallorossi, “Tomorrow we will face a team like one that is called invincible: this will give us even more strength to do well. Garcia’s best quality was to give a spirit of sacrifice to great champions, which is essential to win. It is possible that something is changed against Roma.”

Roma and Torino will meet on Sunday, 3 November at 8:45 CET.
