Outlook:

Roma travel to Liguria tomorrow to take on Delio Rossi and Sampdoria. Roma enter the fixture on the top of Serie A table and have had their best start to a season since 1960.

“I didn’t expect these results but I did expect to see this approach. We have a better chance of winning games playing good football. I like what I see on the field, in the second half against Lazio I saw my team that keep the ball, which can give danger to the opposing defense along with a good touch and movements. It is a good team, we can do these things every game,” said Roma boss Rudi Garcia in his pre-match press conference. Roma will look to rebound from last season’s struggles against Sampdoria, who won one and drew one against the Giallorissi.

Delio Rossi’s mens have struggled mightily thus far this campaign. The Liguarians have struggled to create hardly any goalscoring opportunities and have leaned heavily on the shoulders of young Italian international Manolo Gabbiadiani. Recent results have not been kind to the Blucerchiati; following a 3-0 loss in last week’s Derby della Lanterna, Samp were able to claim a point in Trieste after managing to come back from a one goal deficit in stoppage time.

Delio Rossi’s teams always seem to play Roma tough; add to the fact that his job may be in jeopardy, it is expected that Roma will receive a very tough test in Genoa.
