ANALYSIS:

Roma continued their tour of the United States with an astounding 4 – 1 victory over Toronto FC. TFC seemed to have control of the match early; controlling the pace and possession, TFC were able to score an opening goal through decent link-up play and some laziness by Roma at the back. However, Roma responded not even 10 minutes later with a goal through Alessandro Florenzi, who continues to be the shining star on Roma’s pre-season tour. Just minutes later, Marco Borriello found the back of the net via a Florenzi assist. Substitue Miralem Pjanic starred in the second half scoring two goals, one of which was a beautiful free kick that found its way over the wall and in the back of the net.

Roma will resume their pre-season tour of the United States with another friendly versus Chelsea in Washington D.C on Friday, which will be the final match of the tour and looks to be the toughest test Roma will have before the Serie A season kicks off.
